The Scottish Household Survey (SHS) is a continuous survey based on a random sample of the general population in private residences in Scotland. Key findings are presented alongside trends, some of which extend back two decades. The Scottish Household Survey (SHS) is designed to provide reliable and up-to-date information on the composition, characteristics, attitudes and behaviour of private households and individuals. Nationally and at a sub-national level it examines the physical condition of Scotland's homes. It comprises three surveys in one, Transport and Travel in Scotland survey, the Scottish House Condition Survey and the SHS.
